The Adrian is simplicity and elegance: an everyday favorite combined with a touch of detail, just enough to make this hat that much more special!
It is worked primarily in 2x2 rib, with a gorgeous cable panel along the side. It can be worn as it is or with the brim folded, giving this hat two different looks altogether!

Needles: 16” circular needles or DPNs in size 3.5mm/US 4 for the ribbing. 16” circular needles or DPNs in size 3.75mm/US 5 for the body of the hat, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Yarns used: Oysters and Purls DK weight

Yardage: Approx 191 yards / 175 meters

Gauge: 42 sts/36 rows = 4 inches square in pattern stitch using 3.75mm/US 5 needles, unstretched. 22 sts/40 rows = 4 inches square in pattern stitch using 3.75mm/US 5 needles, stretched.

Other Notions: Stitch markers and tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.

Note: The fabric achieved from the 2x2 rib is very stretchy. Therefore, this hat fits head sizes from child to large adult. The sample pictured here was modeled on a head size of 22” (56 cm).

Pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit.
