These neck warmers will keep you fashionably toasty. They feature textured stitches, and look great both in one color or six. Done in sport weight or heavy lace weight yarn on a size 2 needle in your choice of fiber (I’ve done them in alpaca and merino, hemp, silk, and sock yarn, but just about any fiber is fine), they are a cool, casual accessory for your neckline.

The gauge is 7 sts = 1” in heavy lace weight yarn on a size 2 needle. Each cowl measures approx 8” X 24”.

Directions are provided for both multi and solid color versions. Each row is spelled out for you for ease and accuracy in working the pattern. Directions for solid color cowl begin on page 1; for the multicolor version, please turn to page 5.

Have fun creating your own personal interpretation of this lovely, challenging design!
Simple knits, purls, yarn-overs, increases, and decreases are all you need to create this lovely flowing crescent shawl that is equally at home over an elegant gown or a pair of jeans.
