Our family lived near Belfast, Maine for 2 1/2 years. It is a beautiful town on the bay. There is often a breeze so even in the warmer months, I would bring along a cardigan when shopping in their beautiful downtown.

This pattern is simple enough for beginners - it is a wonderful beginner’s knitting pattern. But it is also wonderful for busy people that have to pick up and put down their knitting throughout the day without keeping track or counting too much.

It is knit from the top down with back and forth increases and then the arms are knit in the round.
