Yarn Choices : If you are making this hat to donate as a chemo cap you need to make sure and use super soft washable yarn. This will be worn by someone whose skin feels like it’s got third degree sunburn. Here are some yarns that I use to make caps that work well.
Carron – Simply Soft Party
Lion Brand Yarns – Heartland
Berrocco – Comfort worsted weight - (used for hat model)
Purl Essence – Sincerely, Everyday

Notes: Made with a size “H” crochet hook, this pattern makes a hat that will fit a tween – adult sized head 20-21.5 inches. To adjust for larger of smaller sizes you can use a smaller hook or adjust the number of rounds up or down when making the crown. You will be adding 6SC stitches to each round to form the crown – by increasing or decreasing a round you can adjust the size up or down. It will take one ball of yarn (approx. 164 yds and you’ll have a few yards leftover.)
