The Knit to Live Project Sweater is knitted in one long piece and wraps around the body and sewn together. The pattern is part of a campaign to help improve quality of life for people suffering with mental illnesses, but it really is for any knitter of any skill level! The pattern is simply a guideline, and you can feel free to knit it using whatever style or stitch pattern you wish.

It can be made to fit any size simply by knitting it longer for bigger sizes, and shorter for smaller sizes. The finished piece is a beautiful cropped jumper.

I have used King Cole Merino Blend 4 Ply Superwash wool for this project, but you can use any yarn and any size needles. The gauge depends on the yarn and needles, and you establish it at the beginning. This is explained in the instructions.

If you upload images of your versions of this jumper I would love to add them to The Knit to Live Project website gallery with your permission, along with your name and any other information you’d like to add.
