The Modern Granny: Mystery Crochet Along!
It’s that time again! The Summer Mystery Crochet A-long!
Hurry only the first 100 people will get to sign up at this special price!
This year we are going to be working on an accessory, one that is sure to surprise each and every one of you!
You should have a basic understanding of crochet stitches and how to work in the round…a knowledge of granny squares is also welcomed but not needed as I will be supplying videos on how to work each portion.
The CAL will run the entire month of September - 4 weeks - 4 clues - 4 chances to express your creativity!
What do you get?
You will receive the full clue on or before September 1st and the full finished pattern on or before September 30th. Note that when purchasing the pattern before Sept. 1st you will not receive the first clue, just an outline of the schedule, yardage and gauge.
The pattern will be fully written out and, where called for that segment of the design will be charted.
We will begin on September 1st!
When will I get the clues?
The schedule for the clues is as follows:
Sept 1 - clue 1
Sept 8 - clue 2
Sept 15 - clue 3
Sept 22 - clue 4
Sept 30 - final pattern release
You will receive a PM in your Ravelry inbox as well as an email when the update is ready to download. Do note that it can take several hours after I initiate the update for the download to be seen. Please be patient.
What yarn should I use?
I have chosen a light and lofty fingering weight yarn to make this piece but don’t limit yourself to my choices - create your own experience. This crochet along is all about you so choose the yarns that fit your budget, lifestyle, and creativity.
Because the nature of granny squares allows you to make them bigger and smaller without having to do too much math - this MCAL is perfect for interchanging yarns. Just make sure you pay attention to the detailed schematic provided with each clue.
Can I share my progress?
Yes! I encourage it! There is a prize thread, spoilers thread, FO thread, and even a thread to ask questions over in my ravelry group here. Make sure to join and share!
