The October Beanie is a beautiful lace and rib beanie, designed to fit snugly around your head. It is easy, fun, and quick to knit. It is the perfect knitted hat for autumn and spring because it is nice and warm, yet lightweight and small so that you can easily bring it with you.

Skill level & techniques
The October Beanie is suitable for adventurous beginners and intermediate knitters. The cast-on may be unfamiliar to some knitters, but there is a link to a video tutorial. The beautiful lace pattern is created with yarn overs and two types of decreases in a simple and repetitive pattern. The beanie is knitted in the round.

Size
The Beanie will fit head sizes 20.5-22.8 in (52-58 cm), and it can easily be adjusted both in height and circumference. The pattern includes instructions for measuring your head and making adjustments to the size.

Yarn
The October Beanie is designed for Malabrigo Rios, and you will need 2/3 of a hank (about 60 grams). A cheaper yarn alternative could be Paintbox Wool Worsted Superwash which has the same texture and gauge.
