This a stately, soft, and functional scarf. With a reversible herringbone pattern realized in knit and purl is simple enough for beginners but keeps the interest of the more skilled.

This scarf takes 2 skeins of Cascade Rustic in color 04.

The former Rice Hotel was built in 1927 and was as swanky a hotel as a small city could muster. Bought by Northern Illinois University and renamed the William Monat Building it now houses social science and health research. Though busy with the research of academics the lobby retains it’s former restrained splendor.
