A traditional Ruana has a V-opening at the back of the neck and is worn with both ends thrown over the shoulders. The One Piece Backward Ruana is worn with the opening in the front and the ends sewn together to make loose fitting sleeves.

The One Piece Backward Ruana is knit from side to side, the neckline is offset so the front is shorter than the back, and that is what makes the nice drape!

The One Piece Backward Ruana is a great accent to any wardrobe. You can dress it up with slacks or throw it on with a pair of jeans. This is a simple design that is great for any level of knitter!
