Almost infinitely customizable, this distinctive cowl marks you out as a Sherlockian in any outdoor context. A smallish design utilizing the patterns and techniques from my Knitting is Boring project (knitted entirely in the round, with stranded motifs throughout). Great for seasonal gifts and for using up your yarn stash.

The version presented here was developed for the winner of my tumblr knitlock giveaway. Make it your own by substituting/adding your own patterns and colours! You can use my ‘Knitting is boring’ patterns as inspiration.

Gauge: 20 sts to 10 cm

Abbreviations: CO – cast on; BO – bind off; st- stitch; rd – round; K-knit; P-purl; St st – Stockinette st
