This is only a jpg chart for a pirate or viking ship , drawn by my 7 year old son and pixelated and knitted by me. There was no cardigan he wore with more pleasure! I intend to make a full sweater and cardigan pattern soon.

This is a true family heritage, that you can introduce in any pattern of your making - cardigans or sweaters alike.

The sea is done in stranded colorwork and is optional. The clouds are also optional. The viking’s ship is done in intarsia, and the parrot ( green on the sail) is in duplicate stitch. Of course, you can also embroider the whole ship in duplicate stitch after knitting , if preferred.

Dimensions:

Bulky wool - 9 st x 12 r in 10 x 10 cm
Ship only : 42 x 29 cm
The whole “picture” with clouds and sea: 64 x 35 cm

Worsted wool - 17 st x 24 r in 10 x 10 cm
Ship only: 22.5 x 17.5 cm
The whole “picture” with sea waves and clouds: 34 x 17.5 cm

This intarsia chart is big, it will not fit for sizes under 5 years
