This is my take on the old string bag. I know there are some great string bag patterns out there but I felt compelled to come up with my own version with a Shetland touch.

This bag is worked entirely in the round beginning with a circular cast on. The stretchy lace pattern is a basic Shetland lace that shows garter bumps.
Gauge is not crucial as the bag stretches a lot.
