The Shrug for Ruth

If you liked A Shrug for All, this shrug pattern is even easier and equally fun! A Shrug for All is on sale for 1/2 price through October 31st. Enjoy!

This is Ruth. She’s a sweetheart! When dear friend, Barbara developed this pattern and brought the finished piece to knitting, our knitter friends liked it so much, they asked for the pattern. We didn’t have it written down and promised to do that for them soon. One of our friends, Ruth gently mentioned she would like to knit it and Barbara and I kept referring to it as, “You know, The Shrug for Ruth” reminding ourselves to write it up. The name stuck. We felt Silk Garden worsted weight yarn was a great yarn choice. Any worsted weight yarn will work with this pattern. It is 38” wide x 34” long. The gauge is 4 sts./in. Enjoy!

Materials
9 skeins of Noro, Silk Garden. Approximately 900 yards.
Size 8 circular knitting needles, in 32 inch length. Yarn needle.

Alternatively, it was knit with 1 skein Plymouth Encore for trims and 2 skeins of Plymouth Hot Cakes.

Another good yarn choice is Malabrigo Rios.

Thank you to Ruth, Katie and Darielle for modeling!
