This loom knit pattern is written with instructions to make the hat with or without a flap. Without a flap the pattern is suitable for beginners. It also includes instructions to make it less or more slouchy depending on preferences.

This slouchy hat should fit most tweens to adults. For this pattern you will need a 36 peg loom with 3/4” gauge (knifty knitter, darice, boye, or similar). In addition you will need a crochet hook, loom hook, tapestry(yarn) needle, and button(s). And of course yarn! I recommend a bulky weight yarn. The sample I used with Charisma yarn I used one skein in the color mulberry bush and still had yarn left over.

Tip: If you want this hat to fit smaller heads keep the uwrap and purl stitches in the brim portion tight. For larger heads keep these stitches loose. :)
