Erratum: The October 2020 version corrects a mistake in the instructions for the edging. Work Chart 2 across the long edge as follows: 3 DJ, then single joins to the last 2 sts of the side, end with 2 DJ.

The shawl is cast on provisionally, knitted in two parts, and grafted at the center. Then stitches are picked up around the shawl and the edging is attached by knitting 1 shawl stitch together with 1 edging stitch.

An option is given to replace the nupps in the center of the flowers with a double yo.

This shawl is part of my series Dreams of Norway, which contains designs inspired by my adopted country. Alby gård is located on the island Jeløya in the Eastfold. In the spring, the woods there are covered in hvitveis (windflowers or wood anemones in English), which inspired this design.
