This luxurious cowl has the look of an elegantly draped shawlette. Work it up in a super soft yarn and you’ll never want to take it off!

The pattern includes easy to follow written directions. First you work the cowl’s triangular center in stockinette stitch. Then the ends are joined and you begin working a classic feather & fan lace pattern in the round.

The cowl is designed to highlight one scrumptious skein of Mimi, an incredibly soft yarn made from 100% mink. The pattern uses a little over half a skein and is photographed in color #17, Burgundy Tweed. Any fingering or sport weight yarn could be substituted.

Designed for Knitting Bee’s 12 Weeks of Gifts, 2014.
