Tiebreaker is designed for two contrasting yarns in fingering weight, but you can easily use this pattern with any other yarn weight you prefer since the size is completely variable as it only depends on your preference and the amount of yarn you use. I used Wollmeise Pure and needed two skeins of color A and one skein of color B. Some Wollmeise skeins are generously heavy, with much more yardage than what you will find on the label. If you are the lucky owner of one of those, one skein of each color will be enough for a shawlette of the size I knitted here (50” / 126cm inner circle). You will definitely be able to knit a slightly smaller one with one skein of each color.

Tiebreaker is a modular knit which doesn’t require any seaming. However you will have to knit I-cords. A lot of knitters try to avoid them. With this design I still opted for this technique as it provides a stunning embossed look and a completely reversible shawlette. So keep calm and i-cord on. ;-)) You will find ample photo tutorials on this method and other technical advice included. So even if you are new to anything required to knit this pattern, you will find all information you need. All instructions are charted and written and graphics will illustrate all the steps.
