I was inspired to create a knitted Tilda doll after discovering sewn versions. I love the simplicity of this classic doll design.

My version of Tilda doll is knitted in the round on double pointed needles, from the top down; (Head, body and arms all in one piece). Her legs are each knitted from the foot up and sewn onto the body.

Milly wears a shaker style pinafore dress and Mary-Jane shoes. Her simple white long sleeve top is knitted in one piece with the body and arms.

A full photo tutorial guides you through creating her traditional Tilda hair style. I have adapted the usual way of adding hair to a Tilde doll, into a child safe method which will work with a knitted doll.

You will receive an 8 page pattern with extra tips and information to help you create a beautiful doll.
