Timber Cove Shawl is a reversible triangular shawl knit from the top down, worked in a meditative textured stitch pattern with a seed stitch and reversible cable border. Pattern includes a variation for a simple/ garter stitch border as well. This is the worsted version. There is also a fingering version available.

If you buy one version of Timber Cove you can purchase the other version for 50% off. No coupon code needed. Previous purchases count.

Needles: US size 7 (4.5 mm) 32 in/81 cm or longer circular needle recommended to accommodate large number of sts. One US size 10.5–11 (6.5–8 mm) needle for BO; either straight or dpn will work.

Notions: 4 stitch markers, cable needle.

Yarn: Heavy-weight worsted wool or blend.
Used here: Knit Picks City Tweed™ Aran/HW (55% Merino Wool/25% Superfine Alpaca/20% Donegal Tweed, 164 yd/150 m/100 g)
MC: 5 balls, Jacquard colorway.
CC: 3 balls, Tahitian Pearl colorway.

Yardage:
MC: 820 yd/750 m
CC: 492 yd/450 m.
If you use a third color for the border, you will need only 410 yd/375 m of MC, adding 410 yd/375 m of a third color.

Gauge: In pattern stitch, 13 sts and 26 rows per 4 in/10 cm blocked (exact gauge not crucial, but a large discrepancy will affect yarn usage and size).

Final Measurements: 79 in/200 cm wingspan, 37 in/94 cm depth. Measurements taken after blocking.
