The Tokyo top is a throwback with style. The “T-topper” shape (borrowed from Maggie Righetti’s Sweater Design in Plain English) is simple to construct and creates an elegant boat neck and cap sleeves reminiscent of styles of the 1980s. Yet the close fit, in combination with the use of wave and box stitch to set off coordinating variegated and solid wool/silk yarns, updates the look for the twenty-first century, resulting in a garment that is simple and elegant.
