Tommy Gun Mesh Shawlette
This kerchief scarf or shawlette is worked entirely in garter stitch with rows upon rows of eyelets giving it a mesh appearance. It’s a relatively easy pattern to tackle and one that highlights hand dyed or handpainted yarns such as Dream in Color Smooshy beautifully. One skein in the colorway Dusky Aurora was used to make the scarf in the photos.
The rows of holes in the shawlette reminded me of gun shot holes. I’m a huge Noir film/gangster movie fan so decided to name it after the Tommy Gun. ;)
