As originally knitted, this pair of socks was knit with one pattern stitch on the front and one on the back of the first sock, with the patterns reversed on the second sock. The socks are knit toe up and the patterning starts almost at the tip of the toe. The pattern for the toe and instep is both written out and charted. The name of the sock is taken from the colorway originally used to knit the socks, but the changes seem to fit Tonks as well.
