This friendly doorstop will keep your doors from wandering away. At around 12 inches tall he might also be used as a huggable friend, just don’t add the weight!

Choose a hard wearing wool, and moth proof (like acrylic) if they are an issue as he will be sat around in the open.

This is knit tight so that the stuffing does not show but you can knit a smaller version with Aran weight wool and dropping to 2.5mm needles or a bigger one with thicker wool and needles (I have not yet tried this size).

You will need:
80-100g Chunky in any colour (grey or blue is traditional)
About 25g Chunky weight cream/white
3mm double pointed needles (or other preferred method of knitting in the round)
Large eyed sewing needle for adding decorations
1kg of rice or any other weight. Make sure it is thoroughly contained when put in.
Small circles of white felt for eyes plus a little black wool for pupils and nose.

If you choose to make the body with the wrap and turn technique you will need a second ball of the main colour or be able to work from the other end of the same one.

This is a pattern of my own design. Please do not sell it or the creatures you make from it. Thank you.
