Enhance your daily meditation or yoga routine with this warm, soft and beautiful wrap. The very act of creating this shawl would be a soothing and mindful meditation.

The shape is a simple rectangle, but the alternating lace and garter sections will keep your interest throughout. You will be delighted with how everything comes together so perfectly and evenly.

There are three size variations for this project - wrap (perfect for throwing over your shoulders during meditation), blanket (wonderful for covering yourself in savasana) and scarf (lovely and light). Whichever size and shape you choose, you will end up with an item that bring comfort and joy to your self-care practice.

NOTE: The blanket will require more yarn (8-10 skeins), while the scarf will require less yarn (2-3 skeins). This will depend on how many lace repeats you add/subtract and also the length you knit the item.

Suggestions:

  • Use the most comfortable, soft and luxurious yarn that you can find (I highly recommend the Vegan Yarn mentioned - it is incredibly lovely, warm and velvety next to the skin!)
  • You can personalize the look of this wrap by changing the color set up: use a single color, 2 colors (3 skeins of each color), or use a tonal/kettle dyed colorway
  • If you aren’t a fan of knitting lace, you can easily substitute stockinette or garter stitch in place of the lace panels. Just keep in mind that this will require additional yarn.

This is an incredibly soothing and meditative knit. I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I did!
