This is a top down, any weight / any gauge shawl and can be made any size. The shape is a half circle.

Sample was made using Joann’s Sensations Caribbean yarn, (56% cotton, 38% acrylic, 6% polyester 6 ounces (170 grams), 465 yards (425 meters), worsted weight yarn), approximately 4 ounces total were used.

There is also a matching hat using the “tumbling diamond” design.

You will also need a size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook, & removable stitch marker.

April, 2013 - minor error in row 9 was caught & fixed. PDF is now current.
