Turn Over a New Leaf shawl is knit sideways on the bias that plays with three different leaf stitch patterns. Lace leaves grow organically, bold textured leaves run down a midway spine. Mosaic leaves are added followed by another section of Lace leaves. Relaxing bold stripe sections are worked in between each stitch pattern. The curved shape (for easier wearability) is achieved with blocking, making Turn Over a New Leaf an asymmetric sail-shaped shawl.

Needles: US 5/3.75mm

Notions: 1 Stitch Markers (more if you like to use them between repeats) T-pins and blocking wires, one flexible if you have it, for blocking

Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches in garter stitch after blocking. Although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.

Finished size: 27” deep x 73” wingspan after blocking.

A giant Thank You goes out to all my patient and talented test knitters!!!! ♥️ I could not do this without you!
