This is one of my first and favourite patterns that I have made many times.

The set is a sailor outfit, consisting of matinee jacket, hats and slippers. The sets are basically the same, but the girls’ set is a little fuller and frillier, and it has a bonnet with frills and the boy has a hat with a rib turn back.

These can be left plain or decorated with roses etc.

I like making this set as it is not particularly complicated but there is plenty of work to tackle, so I would say a moderate amount of skill is required or a bit of determination for a novice.

The download document is large as it contains seperate instructions for UK and US terminology (the US follows on seperately in the 2nd half of the pattern) to avoid confusion, there are also plenty of photographs for reference.
