I am a big believer in creative play, dress up, and little kids wearing funny outfits. Make your kid a unicorn hoodie and get all of that in one! The unicorn hoodie is a great spark for kids’ imaginations, and you’ll get a kick out of seeing your child dressed like a mythical creature. Make it in white and silver as shown, or really nerd out and make it in all gold, like the baby unicorns in Harry Potter. Then release your little one in the forest and enjoy.
The hoodie begins with a provisional cast on at the back neck, and is worked top-down with raglan shaping. Then the hood is worked up from the cast on. The hooves at the ends of the sleeves are shaped with short rows. The horn, ears, and tail are knitted separately and sewn on, and the mane is created with fringe. The mane and tail are Cascade Sunseeker (a cotton yarn with metallic thread) and the horn and hooves are Patons Metallic (an acrylic metallic yarn.)
