SPREAD the LOVE I’m feeling the winter doldrums and want to spread a little cheer and love. 50% off all my patterns!!

Jill from the Spin a Shawl group asked me to be the first designer for a special S-KAL for her group. I couldn’t have been more thrilled to design this shawl for them! I went with a simple stockinette and lace pattern because I really wanted to showcase the beauty of handspun yarn. I hope that the group has a blast spinning and knitting this shawl together!!

Unwinding Hours is a lace shawl, knit in one piece from the center-top outward. With both charts and written instructions, knitters will be able to choose the most comfortable way to follow the pattern. It can be easily customized by changing the number of repeats of the charts as it is knit.

Knitting this shawl was a welcome break from knitting fancy lace patterns and is also perfect for all sorts of handspun… especially variegates! It is very easily memorized and was very cathartic to knit with KaleidoscopeKim’s gorgeous handspun. The perfect way to unwind after a stressful or busy day!

Unwinding Hours can also be knit with any sport weight yarn of your choice, if you don’t want to use handspun.
