Each mitt features seven large hearts encircling the hand and thumb. The Knit Picks Palette yarn is Peruvian Highland Wool, so not super soft, but comes in a HUGE array of colors, is inexpensive, and works beautifullyl for colorwork. The mitts should fit most 12 year olds through adult sizes. If you use a little larger needle (size US 1.5 or US 2) to get 8.5 - 9 stitches per inch, they should fit an adult man.
