This shawl is a generously sized crescent shawl, worked from the bottom up. The lower edge is a lace edging worked in a darker contrasting color solid-ish colorway, there is a small band of accent color, then a lovely main color for the crescent-shaping body of the shawl.

The shawl involves some lace, but it is an easy to work and memorize pattern stitch. The short rows used for the crescent shaping are super easy and do not require any advanced knowledge or experience.

I do recommend having lots of stitch markers on hand for this project, because you can ensure a lack of mistakes in the lower border if you use stitch markers to block off the lace stitch pattern repeats.
