THE VECTORVEST …

… is a modern open waistcoat that adds a layer of warmth and color to every outfit. The vest is worked with a regular striped pattern. By using the intarsia technique the stripes are broken into different color segments to create a geometric design with rectangles evolving in the fore- and background. The vest is worked entirely in seed stitch which unites the different shapes into an even textured garment.
The vest is worked flat from the bottom up - to finish off, the shoulders are seamed together to bring the garment into its final shape. A surrounding i-cord is added later to frame the graphic and give the garment its needed stability.

GERMAN

DIE VECTORVEST …

… ist eine offen getragene Weste, die jedem Outfit eine Extraportion Wärme und Farbe verleiht. Die Weste wird mit einem regelmäßigen Streifenmuster gearbeitet. Die Streifen werden mit der Intarsientechnik in unterschiedlich farbige Segmente unterteilt, wodurch ein grafisches Muster mit sich im Vorder- und Hintergrund entwickelnden Rechtecken entsteht. Die Weste wird vollständig im Perlmuster gestrickt, um alle Formen zu einem einheitlichen harmonischen Ganzen zu verbinden.

Es wird in Hin- und Rückreihen von unten nach oben gestrickt – zum Abschluss werden die Schultern zusammengenäht, um dem Strickstück seine endgültige Form zu geben. Ein umlaufender I-Cord rahmt das grafische Muster optisch ein und gibt dem Kleidungsstück die nötige Stabilität.
