This beautiful shawl is knit from side-to-side in a simple garter stitch and a Victorian inspired border. There are no short-rows.

Finished Size: 80” wide & 16’’ high
The shawl can be knit shorter by working less repeats of the 16 row lace pattern. For the full-length shawl, a total of 29 repeats were worked.

Yarn: Forbidden Woolery Gluttony (100 % Superwash
Merino/Sport Weight) (274 yds/100 gr) – 2 skeins

Needle: U.S. 8 (5 mm) – 32” circular needle

Gauge: 16 sts & 26 rows – 4” in garter stitch, after blocking

Notions: Stitch Marker, Tapestry Needle

The shawl is knit in sport weight yarn on size U.S. 8 (5 mm) needles). It is 80”/203 cm long after blocking, so it is great to wear like a scarf! The shawl has 11 pattern repeats in the increase section, 7 pattern repeats in the center section, and 11 pattern repeats in the decrease section. You can easily shorten it by working less repeats in the increase/decrease sections or in the center section.

You can easily knit this shawl in fingering weight yarn as well! If you follow the pattern as written, it will be slightly shorter/smaller than my version. You could work more repeats, but keep in mind that if you do that, you will also need more yarn.
