I would rate this pattern to be challenging for a beginner or for an intermediate knitter. These gloves are knitted completely in the round.

You can use a thinner worsted weight yarn, but I prefer the DK for the sm and med sizes. You can make these gloves with one ball of yarn, but if your ball of yarn is or less than 109 yds, be very sparing as it will use up almost all of the 109 yards.
