The Vintage RAF Pilot Tea Cosy is a Biggles looking character and a pilot from the Great War when aviation warfare was quite new.

The pilot tea cosy has all the stereotypical flight gear, an aviation hat, flying goggles, a scarf and a sheepskin jacket. For a bit of fun, his goggles can be raised or lowered over his eyes; Perfect for when he’s going in!

Flying above him, by aid of a bamboo knitting needle is an old fashioned biplane which can be turned to point in any direction. I thought it would be really quirky to add an old style aircraft on the tea cosy. The plane is great fun to make and helps to give the cosy a vintage feel.

I love his handlebar mustache, it just gives him lots of character.

The Vintage RAF Pilot tea cosy fits a medium sized tea pot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.

The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting him very soon!
