The ultimate scrappy socks! These knee-high socks use 24 different minis and are fun to knit and wear. And they’re very easy to make. Dig around your stash of minis or gather up fingering weight scraps and cast on for a yarny adventure.


Materials:
• Yarn: 24 miniskeins or scraps of fingering weight yarn. You’ll need about 5g (approx. 20 m / 22 yds) of each color.
• Needles: 2 mm / US 0 dpns (or your preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round) or size needed to obtain gauge
• Stitch markers

The sample was knit using 24 miniskeins from various brands.

Gauge:
34 sts x 54 rnds = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch knit in the round after blocking.

Size:
Foot circumference: 19 cm / 7.5”
Calf circumference: 22.5 cm / 9”
Foot length: 23 cm / 9”

Notes:
The socks are knit toe up. The sample was knit with dpns, but the instructions are suited for all methods of sock knitting.
The heel uses German short rows.
You can work more or less calf increases, if needed.
