This cozy hat combines a fancy brim with a lightly textured body. The brioche stockinette texture is easy to work, and a great way to try brioche for the first time. A solid or semi-solid yarn is recommended for this pattern as too much colour variation will make it harder to see the overall texture.

If you have a larger head (like me!), try working the brim on a 4mm/US 6 needle instead of the 3.75/US5.
