If you love knitting cables, you’ll enjoy this shawl made using worsted weight yarn, guaranteeing that you’ll be warm. The shawl incorporates a little known textured stitch with an ornate cable that shows itself beautifully in this shawl. The pockets insure that the shawl will stay put on your shoulders.

There is a simple schematic for pocket placement.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).

The cable focal stitch is both charted and written out line by line.

There is an OPTIONAL crocheted edging, should you want it edged. That is the only crochet in the pattern.

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Rachel Schroeder, who can be reached at: rachel.schroeder1@gmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, undyed.
