If you love knitting cables, you’ll enjoy this shawl made using worsted weight yarn, guaranteeing that you’ll be warm. The patch pockets ensure that the shawl will stay put on your shoulders.

There are two Shetland cables in this shawl that combine beautifully into a single shawl. One is a more well known cable, the border stitch, while the focal cable is lesser known, more complex: fun to knit and wear.

This pattern is charted only.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).

This pattern was expertly tested by Tina Rawls, who can be contacted at: trawls65@hotmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, in colorway, Mirth.
