Can you tell I have been watching a lot of episodes of “Once Upon A Time”? I am enchanted by the medieval headgear. I designed this piece to be part balaclava, part chain maille headdress. It’s an easy design for beginners, knit on straight needles in two pieces, then sewn together.

Yarn: 2 skeins Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick or 150 yards of a super bulky yarn of your choice ..you won’t need all of the second skein, in fact you won’t use more than ¼ of it. You’ll have plenty left over to make a beanie as well.

Needles: U.S. size 13 (9mm) straight knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension. I actually use my 24” circular needles, without joining the work, of course.
