These wrist warmers are named for William Wordsworth’s beautiful poem, “We are Seven,” because there are seven strands to the cable on the front of them. Each strand represents each sibling from the perspective of the little girl in the poem.

The yarn I used is luscious! It’s Spirit Trail Fiberworks’ Brigantia DK weight, which is 85% Polwarth (a cross between Merino and Lincoln Longwool) and 15% silk. The yarn is silky smooth but warm and gentle on the skin. Naturally, you can use any DK weight that you like, but just make sure that you match the gauge.

The wrist warmers are purposely snug around the hand, created by the cable, for extra warmth and stability.
