These woodland themed fingerless mittens feature a little woodlander animal motif on the back of the hand and some woodland fare on the palm. Choose between squirrels and nuts, hedgehogs and mushrooms, rabbits and grass or owls and leaves.

The mittens are worked in stocking/ stockinette stitch with single twisted rib cuffs. The motifs are added to the stocking stitch section, on the back of the hand and palm, using duplicate stitch once the knitting is complete; however they could be added whilst knitting by using the intarsia method. The mittens are knit flat on two needles with a side seam.

The pattern includes charts so that the Wee Woodlander animal motifs could also be used in Fair Isle projects.

Measurements: 6, 7, 8 inches hand circumference.
