The first design in my “Great Lakes Handmade” series, the Wheat Berry Button-up Cowl was inspired by the natural simplicity of the winter wheat berry, with a rippling texture reminiscent of rolling fields and small “berry” details crocheted throughout. Inspired by and made in the Mitten State, this is sure to be your favorite cold-weather companion. The cowl is made adjustable simply by slipping the buttons through any of the stitches. Wear the buttons in the front, to the side, or in the back. Utilize all of the buttons for a tighter, warmer wear, or leave some open for a different look.

Pattern includes 3 sizes: One size fits most toddlers, one size fits most children, and one size fits most adults.

All of my patterns are written is standard US crochet terminology.

Necessary crochet skills: Working in rows. Ch, dc, and bobble stitch (explained in the pattern.)

This is an “easy pattern.”
