Whidbey ~ Gansey inspired long sleeved textured stitch sweater and hat pattern for dolls. The sweater also features back-buttoned closure for easy dressing, and the matching watch cap hat features a turned up ribbed stitch brim.

See Whidbey DK for a light weight version that will be available in my upcoming book publication, Kalendar Kidz due May 2015

Whidbey ~ was inspired by both my love of the recognizable and traditional Gansey stitch patterns and west coast living.

A perfect addition to your doll’s winter wardrobe, and for exploring the great outdoors, providing extra warmth whether living on an island, along the coast, in the mountains, or for simply snuggling up in by a cozy warm fire.

Pattern Features:
The textured stitch patterns have been written out with line-by-line instructions given, including full instructions for working the Lateral Braid featured at the bottom welt only. A rolled crew neckline created from picked up stitches, along with classic single ribbing worked on the sleeve edges and cuff of hat.

Designer’s Note:
Worked flat ~ my preferred knitting technique using my bamboo straights

Designed to fit:
Slim 18” all vinyl dolls like Lena, from Kidz ‘n’ Cats Heart & Soul series.

Construction: Worked from the bottom up in one piece to armholes, including button bands, then each section is worked individually.

Skill Level:
Advance Beginner-Easy: Project using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
