The Whipsaw Mitts led to the Whipsaw Beret which led to……the Whipsaw Cowl.

The same intriguing back and forth pattern is worked here as a neck warmer or longer cowl.

The neck warmer is a cozy 22” in circumference, and the cowl is a generous 44” to wrap around your neck twice; both are approximately 9.5” high.

Worsted weight yarn makes either of these a quick project; 145 yards will make the neck warmer, and 290 yards will make the cowl. You will need a size US 8 (5mm) 16” or 30” circular needle.

The instructions are both written and charted.
