The Whirlwind Romance Beret is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down using graduated crochet shells to create a full-bodied lace fabric that will keep your hair under control on a windy day. The crown motif is suggestive of a cyclone, and creates a beautiful swirling star pattern atop the beret. The beret is shaped at the brim with half double crochet post-stich ribbing that looks beautifully structured.

The hat size can be adjusted by following pattern notes explaining to work more or fewer increase rounds to create a larger or smaller beret circumference before continuing in pattern to work the body and brim of the hat.

This sweet beret whips up as quickly as a whirlwind romance. Imagine wearing it as you stroll down a Parisian boulevard, a baguette poking jauntily from your market bag, when you spy the love of your life…

Happy Crocheting!
