This shawl begins at the neck and is designed with the shoulder shaping that all Faroese shawls have. The neck border continues down the shawl to create a beautiful seed stitch edging on each side of the shawl..

This lace shawl pattern has two choices for the bottom of the shawl. The shawl can be extended with the beaded lace edge, which includes more beads. Or you can end with a Picot Bind Off. Please check below for yardage and bead count for each version.

This pattern does not have any complicated stitches, but all right side rows are different and does require concentration due to the different rows. All wrong side rows are purl across the complete row. No sewing, seamless.

The pattern is not charted, but is fully written, with line by line written instructions.

This design includes bead placement. Beads are optional and the pattern is written so that it can easily be knit without using beads.
