All summer long you’ll hear Vermont farmers talking about hay. The curving parallel lines of drying grass follow the contours of the fields creating a textured landscape that speaks of summer’s long days and soft evenings.

This relaxed cardigan features a slipped stitch seeded rib along the collar, cuffs and hem that resembles the soft windrows of hay found in Vermont fields in late July and August. The open fronted cropped sweater can be knit up with any of our DK weight yarns for a utilitarian wardrobe staple that can be flexibly styled to work for any outfit or occasion. We love it paired with a t-shirt and jeans or a me-made dress that you love.

The top-down raglan construction allows you to try the sweater on as you work, making adjustments for a different length and a personalized fit.

The Gingerbread Cotton Comfort model is shown on Kate with approximately 2 inches of positive ease.

The Mean Mr Mustard model is shown with approximately 4 inches of positive ease on Kate (with short hair) and 7 inches of positive ease on Meghan (with longer hair worn in an a bun).
