Winds of Change Cowl

A two-colored fingering/heavy fingering weight cowl that is simple enough for beginner colorwork knitters. You should have a basic understanding of yarn management and tension control to carry the yarn floats.

This cowl requires approximately 310 yards of a main color and 120 yards of an accent color. It is knit in the round on circular needles.

All stitches are knit and you can use any stretchy cast-on and bind-off method. The cowl features a simple 2x2 ribbing at each end to keep you nice and warm.

It is possible to add or subtract a pattern repeat to make the cowl larger or smaller.

As a registered nurse, I have seen many of my patients use cowls to hide their tracheostomies as well as use it to thread their oxygen tubing through, to prevent it from getting snagged or pulled. This would be a great gift for a loved one who could use it for those reasons as well.
