You can’t get much more classic than these simple cabled mittens. They’re the perfect accessory for cool evenings, whether you’re roasting marshmallows and sipping hot chocolate, caroling throughout the neighborhood or rooting for your favorite sports team. Slip them on and gain some winter cheer.

Yarn - 175 yards/160 meters worsted-weight yarn. Shown in Quince & Co. Lark (100% American wool; 134 yards/123 meters per 1.75 ounce/50 gram skein), colorway Frost.
Gauge - 20 stitches = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
Needles - US #6/4mm (or size to get gauge) for working in the round (either double points, or two circulars, or one long circular for magic loop) AND needles one size smaller for cuffs.
Notions - Tapestry needle, stitch markers (one of which is unique), cable needle.
Skill level - Advanced beginner (cables, knitting in the round).
Size/Finished measurements - Women’s Medium. Finished hand circumference of 7.5”/19 cm. Measured after blocking.
